Rose Park Primary School, Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) is provided on the grounds of Rose Park Primary School. We provide care in a play-based learning environment that is homelike and welcoming for children before and after school, during school closure days and school holidays.

We aim to inspire, guide, and nurture children through a holistic approach. Taking time to get to know all children as individuals, and empowering children to pursue their own unique interests, strengths and passions. We view children as capable, and competent, incorporating student voice throughout our decision-making.

Play is integral to children’s social and emotional development, and we provide endless opportunities for children to develop these skills through a range of freely chosen, planned and spontaneous activities.

With the environment as the third teacher, we aim to create beautiful, authentic learning invitations through carefully planned provocations that are centred around children’s interests, and wonderings, working and playing alongside children to discover and learn together. We value the importance of developing an interconnected relationship with the natural world, providing daily opportunities for outdoor play to foster an appreciation of the environment, and promote sustainable practices.

Staff work collaboratively and inclusively, modelling our school values; caring, respect, honesty and courageous, and using reflective practice to continue to develop and grow as individuals, and as a service. The diverse skills and strengths of our team support a positive experience for children and their families at OSHC.
