Student Leadership
At Rose Park Primary School, we believe every student can make a difference. Our Student Leadership program cultivates the IB Primary Years Programme (IBPYP) Learner Profile attributes—encouraging students to be principled, caring, open-minded, and courageous. Through real-world problem solving, collaborative inquiry, and active participation in our Student Action Teams, all students are empowered to develop their voice, agency, and leadership skills.
Our merit-based leadership pathways — Ambassadors (SRC Executive), Sports House Captains, Journalists, Environmentalists, IB Educators, and IT Technicians—give Year 6 students and others authentic opportunities to influence school life and contribute to the wellbeing, equity and excellence of our community.
Student leaders play a vital role in nurturing a safe, inclusive, and high-achieving environment. They model and promote our school values by championing diversity, celebrating student achievement, fostering teamwork, and supporting initiatives that benefit others.
At Rose Park Primary School, leadership extends beyond formal roles—every student is encouraged to be an effective learner, show initiative, practice respectful citizenship, and contribute positively to our school and the wider world. By prioritising student voice, choice agency, action and wellbeing, we prepare our learners to become confident, creative, global citizens and leaders for the future.
